After graduating in Graphic Design at JCA I started my career at Mortimer Tiley Advertising. I then moved on to Lorton Publications gaining considerable experience in magazine design and creative interpretation of briefs, illustration, and cartooning.

With the arrival of my children work followed me home where I have been freelancing ever since! My experience working with a dynamic team at Jacana has led me to more specific educational illustration with a South African flavour.  

The general indifference to children’s literature in this country is slowly starting to change. It is wonderful to have the support of the SCBWI, as illustrators tend to work in isolation. We really need to network more...
